I am surprised you weren’t into “No Compassion” on Talking Heads 77. That song is amazing and hilarious. One of my favorites. One of those quintessential songs showcasing what a nut case David Byrne was. I always liked the debut myself, most of it anyway. Has a charming kind of mellow poppy sound on much of it with nice melodies. Definitely not as adventurous or interesting as later stuff though of course, but No Compassion is definitely a huge highlight, even more than Psycho Killer for me (kind of tired of hearing it, although it is a classic of course ).

I like Todd a lot but is anything else hes done really as interesting and crazy as A Wizard A True Star? Maybe there is but i haven’t gotten too far in his discography and i agree he has a lot of samey piano ballads. Love when he goes on a nice soulful-psychedelic tangent though sometimes like the song “Think You Know” (not sure what album that is on).
