I agree that Born In the USA is a strong pop album. I also think that the "LOL Regan was too dumb to understand it!" thing is wrong.

I am not a fan of Ronald Reagan, but I do no think that he misunderstood the song, and I do not think that he was counting on his supporters misunderstanding it. They saw it as speaking to the disaffection of the Carter Era.
