It’s a good way to pretend to be talking about something when you’re not.

The Coville books I read were the My Teacher is an Alien series (which I remember getting better as it went along) and Goblins in the Castle. The My Teacher series, at least the later books, are at least derivative of stuff from the 1950s that J-Ro likes and grew up reading/watching.
