As for my actual spins, not too much. The most influential CD of the last month is the Hilliard Ensemble’s Sacred and Secular Music of Six Centuries that I’ve used as a jumping-off point for medieval music, which I think I may actually prefer to the Renaissance from what little of medieval music I’ve gotten familiar with.
There are these two songs, for instance. Both are on the CD in bare-bones, a cappella versions, but you can find versions on Youtube that have really run with it:

Other than that it’s been mostly listening to the same old shit over and over again jn playlists. Musically I’ve been stagnant, but I’ve enjoyed myself. I’m going to start listening to new music again starting an hour and a half ago. Isn’t this song fucking glorious?
