We did have that discussion–when the movie came out, I reiterated my love for the book (still one of my all time five favorites) and got raked over the coals by the Jamie/Derrick/Jugdish quadrant of the board.

Look, I’m no dipshit–I agree that C&P is the more important piece of art. Doesn’t mean anyone has to like it better.

And to be fair, if you care about this at all, TIME had it as one of the greatest 100 novels between 1923 and 2005!!! So neener neener!!!
