I don’t like that he trashed Nevermind or called the Pixies “blandly entertaining college-rock” or whatever it is he said, but I did like his rants about CDs and my favorite moment of his was at the end of his essay about Slint where he said “In ten years you’ll lie like the cocksucker you are and pretend you saw them live. Ten fucking stars.”
The best Big Black song was “Bazooka Joe.”
