Get four or five people an episode (I’m thinking teenagers most of the time, they could be older but I wouldn’t go younger) and have them listen to the discography of a major artist and then try and put it in chronological order. So, for example, people who don’t know anything about Bob Dylan would listen to all of his regular studio albums without knowing what order they came out in, and then guess the chronology.
I realize that there may turn out not to be perfect ignorance, people will have heard songs not knowing who they were by, or will know them from a movie and then know that they’re at least as old as the movie, ect. I don’t think that’s a problem.
