FF4 - I have fond memories of this, somewhat, but it’s always been a step behind FF5, FF6, FF7 and Tactics.
It’s the “easytype” version of the game, anyway.
I think a lot of it has to do with people overdefending the game because it flopped so badly in America that it’s probably why Nintendo didn’t bother letting FF5 come out in the US, but I could be wrong about that.

I’ll keep what you said about FF1 and FF2 in mind.
