Because it was “safest” to get them when you were a real little kid.

I got them when I was in the fifth grade, 1988 or so. Strangely, my little brother never got them. And HE was the one who was always sick. He’s since had a kidney transplant, a hernia, and an aneurysm removed from his brain. All hereditary.

Do kids even get chicken pox anymore?
