He overrates a lot of ancient R&B acts and placing Grandmaster Flash so high smacks of obvious hip hop tokenism. The Zombies at #211 really leapt out at me. That’s at least 100 places too low. Sure, they have a slim output, but Odyssey & Oracle is universally beloved as one of the best albums of the ’60s. Even notoriously curmudgeonly Christgau gave it an A-. Sure, Bill, Bonnie Raitt is more important than the Zombies.
