I remember the Caldecott medal, and was definitely award of it as a kid.

I thought you were familiar with the early Allman Bros., for some reason, but I don’t see someone who doesn’t like live albums liking them that much.

It always sticks in my mind that they’re an example of a band that is non-transatively associated with other bands. What I mean is, there are some bands that always pair in popular discussions, like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, or The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Cream. The Allman Bros., in different discussions, get paired with both Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Grateful Dead; but nobody pairs Lynyrd Skynyrd with The Grateful Dead.
