Nope. I do like bob marley, I though don’t have as extensive knowledge of him as I do with other artists of his stature. Wouldnt be opposed to checking it out but it would maybe be a film that I’d watch with a friend rather than something I’d seek out on my own. The reviews didnt seem very positive. I feel like I’d be more interested in a documentary about Marley than a dramatized film.

Music biopics are usually more miss than hit, but I can still have fun with them. Bohemian Rhapsody for instance was total ass but it was also pretty hilarious just how bad it was. Love And Mercy remains the gold standard of how to do it right (and even it’s still got its share of clunky moments), but that’s a pretty rare exception.

I’ll often judge a music biopic by how accurately Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story parodied it, which somehow still holds true nearly 20 years after it came out (Bohemian Rhapsody is a textbook example of this). Has any movie parodied more films that hadnt been released yet than Walk Hard?
