It chimes the hours and quarter-hours using the Westminster chimes in a recording of Big Ben, a mantel clock, a grandfather clock, or an organ. You can pay for a deluxe version of the app, which I’m going to do. I keep mine set to a mantel clock (which is what we had growing up) or grandfather clock (at my grandparents’ house).
I grew up with clocks – real clocks, with keys. My great-grandfather was a clockmaker. This app brings me a little back to my childhood, and I charge my phone in the other room and it’s nice to have a clock in the house, comfortingly tick-tocking away in the hall.
Available on Google Play. Sorry, Billdude. I know you use a Mac. Do you use an iPhone? You’re out of luck.
