Before being in Antananarivo, I could distinctly remember one time hearing a rock song being played on the continent (“Chop Suey” by System of a Down, in a hotel in Liberia).

I was going to say that this surprised me, but I guess you hear about big rock musicians playing concerts through of the rest of the world, but not in Africa (that I can recall).
