I didn’t stop to think that The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads is a compilation album, drawing from four or five years’ worth of live stuff.
I got a copy of Rush’s Different Stages for Christmas when I was first getting into the band, listened to it two or three times total and then sold it to a CD Tradepost. At least it got me into “Dreamline” and “Bravado,” I know that much. Rush were a good live band but I don’t find that their live stuff differs that much from studio, they were just really competent players. “Red Sector A” was definitely better live, I s’pose.
I listened to the short cutdown of “7 Skies H3” and really have no desire to hear the full thing, which I would obviously have to break up into huge chunks. I never tried the six hour song.
