“Broken Arrow” - You don’t even like the parade part with the marching piano? I love that part. The “When I’m Sixty Four” style horn silliness at the end has got to go, though.
The instance of a live performer not doing their best work in mind is Weezer’s Pinkerton, which Rivers infamously refused to perform for a long time after Weezer’s 2001 comeback because the album didn’t sell well at first and because the lyrics were so confessional and painful and he felt awful about it, but he eventually reneged on his position. But that’s not “never.”

I don't know that much about Weezer but the setlist.com has them playing that album during that time. -
