I’ve never really been into the whole Frankie Valli mystique but it’s a hell of a lot better than Sinatra IMO. I’m not even sure when the Four Seasons were doing their thing. I assume pre-Beatles ’60s.
I think your tolerance for early ’80s synth tones and overdramatic vocals determines whether you like the genre. I’ve never heard Modern Talking (Starostin’s bĂȘte noire) but I bet you I’d like them.
“Take Me to the Ofher Side” was written by Jason Pierce and Pete Kember together, and “I Love You” is 100% Kember. Jt was their last, contractually obliged album but the two principals weren’t even on speaking terms and each did his own side of the album totally independent of the other. The rest of the band is the same, but Pierce doesn’t appear on the track at all.
