despite not really being attached to the 1922 film or the 1979 Herzog film (the former, while hugely historically important, was something I kind of only respected for the history lesson–I far prefer Dr. Caligari; the latter was honestly just really fucking boring and drab, and I normally like Herzog stuff). I wasn’t really wild about The Lighthouse either, I thought Willem Dafoe was pretty hammie. The VVitch is pretty cool though
