I do also have nostalgia for the site, used it a lot in my early 20s but I don’t miss it really. It had no personality as a website, the reviews weren’t good and had a very basic layout and was just a way to get tracklistings for albums and release dates and whatnot. I preferred RYM overall and have been using that for pretty much as long now I think.

I remember when I was really into collecting oldies 45s and checking out 1950s and 1960s Billboard hot 100 singles in the 00s I would check it to see what singles charted in what position but now Wikipedia is a good enough resource for that too.

It’s the end of an era. Lots of things I used years ago when I was younger are gradually dying off. I think I’m desensitized by it at this point.
