I know it seems that John Kerry has always been a loser, but that felt like a winnable or at least close election at the time: an unpopular president with a metastasizing problem in Iraq, and it seems like everyone has too much sense to re-elect him. Then the fucker wins the popular vote.
Like 2004, the hyperbolic bed-wetting about a national abortion ban and a Trump dictatorship won’t come to pass. Congress is slow and congressmen are vain and craven. I hate this, but I’m not worried about the American state. It’s been more and less illiberal before and it’s always been recognizably constitutional government. I’m looking forward to Cletus getting stuck with the 50% tariff though.
As part of the extremely online right, the incels are now in power.
