I thought Palmer Eldritch was from 1964. I’ve seen both 1964 and 1965 given. But yes I did know that what you posted is a Dune cover.

The “Science Fiction’s Supreme Masterpiece” has stuck with me, and many covers for the book over the years have featured the sandworms, but you can barely see Paul and Jessica.
I do plan on purchasing and rereading at least the first four books in the series before the end of this year.
I still laugh thinking about the original cover for the book from 1965, where the book’s title is this elegant cursive thing, but Herbert’s name looks like it belongs on a cheap 1950s detective paperback.
Most covers for God Emperor Of Dune feature a hideous Jabba the Hutt looking thing.
