I have copies of The National albums High Violet and Boxer which I spin now and then. They released some new material in the last year or so and the cut “Tropical Morning News” got plenty of airplay, which made me realize the major sticking point I have with the band....the singer’s voice just strikes me as so monotone, a little voice inflexion might go a long way to making the listening experience more enjoyable.
