Oh, maybe that could be a good documentary. I think my real problem is that the only Prince album I’ve ever really loved is Purple Rain–the rest are all too long or too slight. But hell, I don’t know that I’d even want to watch a nine-hour documentary about R. E. M. or Led Zeppelin or Genesis or Yes or U2 or Radiohead (of course, Radiohead’s documentary is one of the most pathetic films ever made in terms of underwhelmingly handling an interesting subject.)
