I guess you have a point about CD bloat, but I’m making the point about the CCR albums because of the filler. (Okay, the Smashing Pumpkins certainly had a filler problem too, but I digress.)

Yeah, and Reign In Blood doesn’t pass 30:00 either (probably for the better, I woudln’t want ANY of those songs to be Metallica’s boring 6 1/2 minute default length.) Whether something was an “EP” or not often seemed a matter of marketing, especially with the term seeming obsolete in the era of CDs.
