I swear to God that the Strokes are NEVER mentioned without the whole hype-and-backlash thing they received in 2001 also being mentioned, or a debate about whether or not Is This It is a bad album or a good one in spite of the hype. Few things make me feel older than realizing that the Strokes controversy was TWENTY THREE YEARS AGO, 23 years ago from when I graduated high school is fucking 1978!!! What are those guys even doing now?!? Alpha Hammer before he left said that those guys now looked like a blip on the radar and not something even terribly influential or important at all and I think he might have a point there.

How the fuck are you supposed to make drum solos go across the room with a bunch of mp3s? I have listened to the songs all synced up properly as mp3s and it wasn’t really a great collection of songs either, it was just an okay one.
