I guess the Musical Excellence Award is just a new way to shoe-in dead people?

It was originally the “sidemen” category, but they changed the name a while ago and started adding whoever they wanted. I do think it’s so they wouldn’t have to keep nominating them. They’re not all dead. L.L. Cool J and Ringo are in that category. Judas Priest got in as an entire band too.

If they replaced Foreigner and Frampton with the MC5 and Buffett in the regular category this year then it would look less weird.
