We never talked about the Rock & Roll HoF final inductees this year.

I know it’s stupid and we did talk about the initially nominees, but c’mon, nothing is going on and this needs at least a nod:

B.D. will be triggered by Dave Matthews, and I don’t like them either, but they were popular enough, I expected they’d get in. But this year has two of the biggest, probably the two biggest, WTFs they’ve induced, and really solidifies that anyone well remembered enough to count as “classic rock” can get in.
Does anyone born after 1965, even if they like the three hits, not think that Frampton Comes Alive is mostly pretty boring?
Is anyone, even if they like their various radio hits, describe themselves as a “big Foreigner fan,” or even think that that band has one classic album?

Okay, writing that, I looked at their discography on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreigner_discography

Wow, in terms of both chart success and album sales, they were alot bigger than I ever realized. I always thought they were just a “good enough to fill out the playlist” band, but they were really big. I guess they did have a comp worth of albums that I’ve heard on the radio a million times. Actually, it is exactly the tracklist of this collection: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Records(album)_

Except “Waiting for a Girl Like You,” don’t think I know that one.

I seriously don’t understand what the Musical Excellence Award is.

The Musical Influences Award at least seems like an honorable group this year. Alexis Kroner seems like someone I should know, but don’t. John Mayall is a strong pick. I’m not super familiar with Big Mama Thorton but I like what I’ve heard, and she did the original versions of some iconic songs.
