If it’s any consolation to you, Grisham wrote a sequel called A Time For Mercy which might be going back a bit on what you’re talking about, the justification of revenge. It didn’t seem to get much attention; I guess that the world has kind of moved on from John Grisham. I never read any of his books but liked The Client film as a kid. God knows if it would hold up.
