To be fair, I’ve always been sort of disappointed by live Weezer, too. But I always got the impression that anything involving the Pixies since the reunion has had less to do with making compelling music (though they can still make some) than keeping poor old Black Francis and the gang afloat, since we all know his solo career was sadly dwindling for years.
