You don’t remember Ryan and his giant project to make an ultimate list of 400 movies or whatever number it was? Am I spelling his name wrong or something? This wasn’t that long ago, and you kept replying to his movie posts with headers like “5 ways that Captain Ryan Could Defeat Thanos” or “People Can’t Stop Talking about Ryan’s Game of Thrones Sex Scene.”
You’ll be comforted to recall that he didn’t much care for The Best Years of Our Lives either. If you’re looking for the kind of visual spectacle you get from someone like Hitchcock it’s mostly not that kind of movie, but the closest thing would be the scene of Dana Andrews in the airplane graveyard.
I’m not nostalgic for stuff like Xena, which I didn’t watch when it was new, but it looked better to me than crap like the Clash of the Titans remake.
