The thing about MK2 is that we were at a beach house that had an SNES and some games, but the controller was broken so really all you could do was use the D-pad, and Raiden had a move that used only the directional pad. It’s ok, there’s plenty to do at the beach; the first year I went with them we had an NES with at least thr first Contra. I used to go with my rich friend’s (who is still a close friend) family to one of these rental beach waterfront McMansions and invite all their friends and family. Jet-skis, parasailing, swimming (both pool and ocean), a hot tub: you really don’t need video games except late at night (and then you could always watch TV or play sardines), so the broken controller was no big deal. It’s also the OBX so the beach isn’t crowded. At all. There are at most ten people on a stretch of beach. The friend’s family paid for everything btw.
What’s Square’s reputation nowadays? They’be put out a lot of monile games and games with nonsense titles, but I do want to play Octopath Traveler [sic] sometime. That’s Square Enix, right?
Of course! Genesis had blast processing.
Totally unrelated: I downloaded a pedometer app and this is me at work yesterday, not counting dog walks (about a mile twice a day). I’m like 202 pounds so it shouldn’t be too hard to get back under the big two hundred. I lost my discipline from too much fried chicken and ice cream.
