and got no response from anybody. I gather that Pavement’s reunion tour only got some respect, maybe an RS article or two, and I wondered if the whole Pavement flame isn’t being kept alive very well, sort of like R. E. M. which I’ve already complained about.
The fact that this new film is happening would indicate to me that Slow Century wasn’t a terribly successful DVD or something (and I did rewatch it recently and it’s admittedly not a very well-made documentary) and that they have to do something that will mine some of the same territory (the “Spiral Stairs moons the crowd” incident was in the documentary, for example.)
But, it’s nicer than talking about how Trump officials texted war plans to a journalist, today.
Joe Keery doesn’t seem like a very good choice to play Malkmus, he looks like he should be in a 1991 shoegazer band or something. Kannberg looks like Mike Love now.
