The best option for a season 4, if they did it, would probably to have been more like a spin-off and had it be the continuing adventures of Cooper and Diane in the alternate timeline or universe or wherever they ended up in the last episode.

Would’ve been hard for them to do too much in the actual Twin Peaks town because most of those characters either had their stories wrapped up, or the actors are dead.

I’m happy enough it ended where it did though. I’d rather he finish off other stuff. I heard the Ronnie Rocket script was really good and he apparently never fully gave up on the idea of making it.
