Hackett’s solo career is pretty great and full of surprises. Very worth exploring. His bad records are usually bad in interesting ways and his good records carry on the spirit of Genesis better than most of his other bandmates solo work.

Genesis Revisited II has several legitimately terrific versions. A lot of the songs that originally came across as lesser or had weaker production are beefed up and improved. All the Wind tracks for instance are fantastic. There’s no replacing Gabriel of course but most of the vocalists he uses do great jobs.
