Mangum could do new music that doesnt sound anything like old NMH if he wanted imo. Just retire the band name and call it something else. As long as he’s still working with Robert Schneider I’d be interested.

Mangum did revisit NMH on several tours where he played the old songs during the mid-10s if you remember. Maybe he needed the cash, maybe he got the nostalgia bug. I’d guess the relative commercial success of Aeroplane probably earns him more money than all the other e6 guys combined. Maybe thats why he doesnt bother with new music.

Kevin Barnes is just built different I guess. As far as I can tell he doesnt seem to have many connections to the E6 anymore and he’s just off doing his own thing (not like his current music sounds anything like E6 music these days anyway).
