Coolcool. I’ll post some more Jazz Butcher later. In fact, let me give you my YouTube channel. There’s a lot of Jazz Butcher there. Basically I never got the chance to be a DJ so my whole life I’ve been making mix CDs for people. This was cool until cars stopped having CD players, then it was kind of just shit out of luck until I had the idea of putting 80-minute (roughly; you have a bit more flexibility obviously but you don’t want to take it too far) playlists on YouTube and that solved the problem. The only thing is that videos get taken down sometimes. I had Tiny Tim’s “Santa Claus Has Got the AIDS This Year” closing a playlist but YT took the video down. Womp womp.

In fact I don’t know why I never gave you this link before. You’d get a lot out of it, I think. I don’t advertise or anything, it’s just an old thing between me and my friends. It might be a tough slog if you don’t have YouTube Premium and have to sit through ads between every. fucking. song.

All the playlists may not be displayed on the first page. There are a good number but not too many to handle.

Anyway things are looking up at work. I had the meat department all to nyself on Sunday, which is the busiest day of the week or it may as well be, and then I worked consecutive days before a day off Wednesday, which wasn’t wnough, and then I was by myself again Thursday. I had a silent orgasm of relief yesterday to see that I had a coworker, then he went home sick after an hour. So even though I had off the next day (which is today), I was still looking at having the entire meat department on my shoulders on Sunday (again, the busiest day if the week), then wirking two days straight before having (only one) day off. Tgis is after working seven days out of eight I think two weeks ago.

My manager just quit so I take my manager’s manager aside and just tell him I’m losing it, today (Saturday) I’m recovering from a brief hypomanic episode that can come from work stress and trying to do too much, and I have half a mind to tell him to hire a third guy in the afternoons or I’ll quit, and don’t think I won’t do it; five months ago I was unemployed and I’m willing to do it again.

But

J didn’t have to! He told me three new people in meat and produce in the afternoons have orientation the next day (today). I take it to mean I’ll have help tomorrow (Sunday) and that things will be less insane from here on. There will be three guys in meat, and there are only two guys in produce a lot of days abd it’s crazy over fhere, too. They’re getting relief.

The Munsters is good stuff. It gets sneered at for being a low-brow knockoff of the middlebrow Addams Family but ’60s TV is derivative. Green Acres is just The Beverly Hillbillies in reverse. I Dream of Jeannie is a warmed-over Bewitched. Star Trek and The Twilight Zone and Mister Ed are rare, and sitcoms are their own thing anyway. All are classic shows.

So I have a little under a gram of weed left out of an ounce. I have a lot of tolerance so ut won’t go far. Won’t last the night, if it makes it that far. It’s not even noon, so it won’t. I want to save some for DoorDash later. It feels like a Little Caesars day. I always underestimate the amount of bud I have though. I went out for smokes and Brisk fruit punch while ago and I’m in for fhe day wirh a dog and a week of wrestling to catch up on. It’s all about self-care today.

Haha, thanks for listening. I know tgis was a long post but you’re a cool dude and I know you give a shit, haha. I don’t share my playlists partly because I used to be self-conscious about ny musical taste in high school (I don’t know if you can relate, I think it’s directly proportional to the amount of prog you listened to that wasn’t Pink Floyd (but at least it wasn’t Rush)). I don’t know what I was getting at, whatever. Old habits die hard, I guess?

Anyway, I need another hit. I made a GB, which is a great thing because my bowl would end up shattering jnto a million resiny pieces when I tried to knock out the ashes. I don’t drink, but pour one out. I bought a 10mm wrench socket to use for the bowl, but only one part of it was 10mm. Half of it was much smaller so jt did not work well at all but I got a proper ten millimeter socket and now all is right with the world. Thankfully it was only a few bucks. I’ve been using GBs all my life but only ever other people’s until now.

Speaking of millimeters, the only sad thing about the US being the only non-metric country of note is that there aren’t more of them. Bangladesh also uses imperial. I think it’s still Eid until tonight so Eid Mubarak, fellow mile-users.

Speaking of South Asia, look up the lakh. It’s a fascinating unit. You see jt all the time jn Indian headlines, figures of currency especially. They have a whole separate reckoning of numbers that I can’t even begin to understand. Peace.
