Well there’s a middle ground between having no room for error and having no way to screw up. No offense, but if you played the game over two decades ago, why are you relying on your memory about the bridge? I mean, you do have an impressive memoery for long-ago details but 21 1/2 years is a long time.

I got the quest to kill the haakai but I’m not sure how to do it because it was so long ago and I don’t feel like talking through the dialogue tree of every character in the sprawling Tower of Magi. Regensburg it is, then.

I have the parts of the Demonslayer but I can’t figure out/remember how to reforge it.

King’s Quest IV was considered the best at the time (and is very long for the period), but the point-and-click games, starting with V, are some of the best. KQ5 is pretty hard without a walkthrough (tip: don’t eat the pie you get near the beginning; you’ll need it late in the game.) KQ6 is actually my favorite. Seven is only okay and IIRC is easy, but I dig the hand-painted graphics. I own King’s Quest VIII but haven’t played it. It’s supposed to be pretty weak. I haven’t played Ultima IX, another poorly-received series ender from around the same time. I will someday.
