The Brontes are awesome. Jane Erye and Wuthering Heights are world class. “Nostromo” really stayed with me. It’s his most complex novel? The SEcret Agent is (relatively) straightforward and still really good.

EDIT: Atonement is really good. The film may have followed the plot details but was a sterile bore.

EDIT 2: I read “The Remains of the Day” recently. It’s quite good. A dense little book for the relatively short length.
