Sorry I haven’t replied to your posts (replying ti me) abd it’s been like talking to a brick wall. I’ve either been busy or been busy feeling dejected (looking for a new job soon.)

I’ve put Avernum on the backburner for now because, God willing, I’m going to be changing computers, and I’ve already made a copy of my saved games and don’t feel like doing it again. Hopefully the Spiderweb saved-games folder contains my saved games. If it doesn’t, I’m just going to move on to the next game because I have no appetite to start Avernum 2 all over again.

So it’s mostly good news about my computer. I transferred the insides from one case to another and cleaned it up tremendously. I’m having problems with the processor overheating but I’ve ordered a missing part for thr cooler and will reinstall it. If this keeps temperatures down enough for the computer to be stable, I should be good. The graphics card is still dead but I’ve RMA’d it and with the latest generation AMD processors it has rudimentary graphics on the chip itself, so unless I’m playing a demanding (read: not Avernum or A Link to the Past) game I should be good. But it’s a matter of (a) which part arrives first, and (b) whether Sapphire approves the RMA.

So that’s what’s happening.
