I remember the Bat Out Of Hell II big sequel and all the hype and shit. I really had no clue about it when i was a kid or how the original sounded. I Would Do Anything For Love is one of those songs i like ironically. Its so silly and overdramatic and funny that I dont mind if it comes on.
Didnt know Beck had a bad spine problem. Must have changed him artistically besides his lifestyle in general i can imagine, so I can see why he had a mellower transition after that. I didnt know that about Sea Change, how its a breakup album but certainly sounds like it. He sounds very depressed and meloncholy on it for sure. I appreciate the album a lot and I remember getting comments how my music sounded similar. Its a really nice album and i would like being compared to it.
I guess it is a drag for some people. I am kind of surprised though that it gets a mixed response like that these days though. Always thought it was beloved but reading some RYM reviews recently, i think some people find it boring i guess.
