a podcast i listen to (TrueAnon - started as an exploration of the Epstein case and is now just whatever the hosts are interested in) hung out with him at his home for a few hours, he’s a weird guy! apparently he’s developed a female alter ego named Dolores that he lives as some of the time. i started Europe Central a few months back and can’t really tell if i like it or not. lots of stuff about the sex lives of the Shostakovich’s.
i don’t think Harper’s is quirky on the level of, like, McSweeney’s. A while back i got several years worth of Latham’s Quarterly from the local Buy Nothing group but i never remember to actually read them. kind of nice to have though, since they don’t have any current material, it’s all just compiling writing and art from the last few thousand years on a particular subject.
