He was in "The Saint," which got torn apart by critics.

They weren’t very kind to some of the other roles he had to take after losing the Batman gig because of his fights with Joel Schumacher. Those must have been some real bitch-fests between those two huge egos. (I’m taking about films like The Ghost And The Darkness, Red Planet and The Island Of Dr. Moreau.) The Batman thing in retrospect seemed to be the end of a generally strong run for him–his work prior to Batman was FAR more acclaimed than after. (He is certainly the only good thing about The Doors, a wretched film otherwise.)

I have sometimes considered watching the 1996 The Island Of Dr. Moreau_ because I’m taking a new interest in Marlon Brando, and Dr. Moreau is said to be the most ridiculous performance Brando ever gave, as well as the worst and craziest he supposedly behaved on the set of any movie, butter-lube Paris scene aside.

Just so you know, if you didn’t already, Brando befriended fellow decaying celebrity Michael Jackson in the last years of his (Brando’s) life, and THIS is just about the last thing Brando did (as well as appearing in the video for that failed “hit” from Invincible, “You Rock My World.”)

Skip ahead a couple minutes to hear people chuckling at him as he brings up kids being hacked to death with machetes in Africa.
