The title track from Atom Heart Mother fucking blows. 23 minutes long and not a one of them entertains me one bit. Just a big fat truckload of ugly choir/orchestral stuff with a bit of Gilmour guitar and a boring two chord blues jam in there for a few minutes. It barely holds my attention at all. I hadn’t really liked it before now, but in 2024 I can safely say at age 42 that it’s completely worthless and dull.

I’ve seen other people trash it before, obviously, and I’m pretty sure the band members hate it too, but I’ve also seen a few people really like Atom Heart Mother, too. And yet, nobody ever seemed to cherish that title track. I guess I hadn’t been playing close enough attention, just like I can’t pay attention to that fucking song.
