You should absolutely play Mother 3- in many ways it’s the full realization of everything Earthbound was meant to be. Its type of storytelling is totally unique from anything I’ve seen in any other game. It merges Earthbound’s off-kilter style with a heartfelt, funny, and sometimes disturbing story that has a lot more to say about the world.

I think it gets a little bit more difficult in the later discs if I remember right. I at least remember having some trouble with the final boss. But yes, wonderful game.

When I told a friend of mine who was discussing Duce that he died falling asleep on the railroad tracks, the friend said “I feel sorry for the train that hit him.”
