Ok, almost the only thing I remember is “Midgar” from what you just explained. I guess that means it’s been long enough that I can replay the game soon :-). Although I’ve got the remakes so really, I’ve gotta pick those up off the to-play pile finally.
I also got the Metal Gear Solid remasters for Christmas and I’ve never played any of those games…maybe those are further up on the queue…
Haha I respect James Rolfe’s work as entertainment but it’s hard to take his criticism very seriously. I wouldn’t be surprised that he has some pedestrian takes like “FFVII is the greatest game of all time”. Not even saying that’s a bad take, just that it’s almost too normal of a take from someone who claims to look past the nostalgia in old video games and get to the meat of them
