By the SMiLE show do you mean the one where the camera keeps cutting back to that blonde girl with the pretty face who is always smiling like she’s having the time of her life? The backing vocalist or whatever? I watched that along with the documentary about SMiLE, it was good enough, all I really remember though is that one guy going “YER UNDER ARREST!!!”

The best Brian album was by far the first one. No Pier Pressure you can pretty much skip, yeah. “Goin’ Home” was a great song off of That Lucky Old Sun that I liked. So I’m glad I heard that one. The most embarrassing thing in Brian’s solo career isn’t actually “Smart Girls,” or maybe it is, but the first thing I’m gonna think of is that he and Van Dyke Parks spent like THREE YEARS and a truck load of money making Orange Crate Art and then NOBODY bought it.
