Believe it or not, I never played Secret Of Mana–I know it was hugely acclaimed and by Square but I could never find a copy to rent.
I did play Evermore, which contained the immortal line “then Evermore will be nevermore forevermore!!!”…but I only got about a couple hours into it and got sick of hitting stuff with a bone.

It is holding my interest that you’d pick AM2R as a better game than the original Metroid. Descriptions of the Game Boy Metroid 2 always made me wonder if I’d actually ever like it.

I don’t recall hearing of Sega by name until the first Sonic came out, but I would have been 9. Sega really broke through with that one.
I do recall the final K. Rool fight as being rather annoying, if I played it right now I’d probably die at least three times.

It’s for the better that the SNES CD never happened. The Sega CD, I honestly think, isn’t terribly well remembered. I know some games for it are considered classics though.
