I’m not a big fan of Costello really that much.. Only like selected stuff here and there but I did like some of his later period albums. When I Was Cruel is a really good catchy power pop album (with some trip hop flavorings in the production to make it more distinctive) but then again I guess I can’t expect anyone to care about a random power pop album. Much less his jazzy piano ballad album either (I really like North from 2003 too. Very relaxing and beautiful but it’s one of those things i like but cant expect people to care about esp in 2025).
