My initial plan was to dial it way back and either just have a tiny amount at a time at night only, or to have edibles/tinctures instead. but i tried that for a couple days and was getting the same terrible reaction (albeit proportional to the smaller doses) and there is no way that I could sustain having even a small amount of that reaction continuing on my body every day. I was feeling extremely unhealthy and it felt like a medical emergency just waiting to happen. Kinda scared the shit out of me tbh.
So i’ve been cold turkey for about a weekish now. its been OK, I’ve actually been sleeping fine which was something I was worried about (probably helps that I’ve also cut my caffeine intake way back as well) but still having rough spots for sure, especially tough getting through night shifts at work. Living in Canada it’s pretty easy to never run out of weed since there’s stores selling some of best weed you’ve ever had all over the place, and I’d been smoking pretty heavily all year without any breaks. But I also know the habit has been preventing me from doing some things that are important to me, like for instance I suck at playing guitar or drums while I’m high and I’ve noticed my skills have totally atrophied over the last couple years. and is it really worth it to me to trade my ability to play guitar and sing for weed? no of course it’s not.
I think after some time readjusting I might seek out a doctor to so an allergy test or something, because the bad reactions I was getting appeared and got really bad over the course of a couple weeks which is definitely not normal and I don’t know if that’s an indicator of something else wrong with me or what.
