For web 1.0-esq pages, it’s funny to me that Greg Egan is a mathematician and notable writer of hard science fiction and his website looks like this:

I assume he’s also the most famous person who has made no public appearances and has no identified pictures of him online. I realize saying that is going to elicit people here disputing whether he’s famous because they don’t know who he is, but he’s been well known in SF circles for 35 years. Is there any other living person with no pictures online & who has made no public appearances?
